The Ordination of Fr James Barber
The Ordination of Fr James Barber took place on the 22nd of June 2019 at Plymouth Cathedral. The then Deacon James was joined by a large congregation including friends, family, and parishioners. The service began at 11:30 AM with a procession of the Bishop and around 30 Priests from across the Diocese, all of whom have impacted James in the path to his priesthood.
Following the Ordination, Fr James and the hundreds of on-lookers stepped outside to be welcome by not only great weather but a fabulous food from across the world, huge thank you to all of those that put so much effort into providing such a wonderful spread.
Lastly, Bishop Mark and a representative from the Venerable English College in Rome presented Fr James with his official documents and most especially a blessing from Pope Francis something which I’m sure Fr James with cherish for many years to come. Click below to watch the full Ordination video.

Many congratulations to Fr James and may God Bless his priesthood. And many thanks to all of those who attended and helped.
