Spirit Unbounded along with Root & Branch are holding a hybrid live and online week-long event alongside the Bishops’ Synod on Synodality, between the 8th and 14th October.  The event is entitled ‘Human rights in the Catholic church’. Spirit Unbounded nurtures the emerging Church. One that works to be safe, inclusive and just. One that strives to live by the teachings of Jesus. One that prays.

The event will have online content available throughout the whole week, and there is also a weekend programme on the 13th and 14th October that will be held in Bristol and Rome.  The full weeks events have not yet been finalised, but you can find the programme for the weekend HERE

Speakers at the event will include Sr Joan Chittister (a Benedictine sister who has passionately advocated on behalf of peace, human rights, women’s issues, and monastic and church renewal for over 50 years), Dr Mary McAleese (President of Ireland between 1997 and 2011) and Steven Newcomb (a scholar, educator, author and film producer focusing on inter-generational trauma, and cultural survival).
