David Gale, President of the Catenian Association Exeter circle chose Caritas Diocese of Plymouth and his charity for fundraising over the last year and, together with the Circle Brothers, family and friends he managed to raise over £800. Canon John Deeny, Chair of Caritas Diocese of Plymouth and Deborah Fisher, Caritas Manager were grateful to receive a cheque from the Catenians, which will be used to support the Caritas Crisis Grant programme in the Diocese of Plymouth. Caritas crisis grants help parish communities and catholic schools to support local individuals or families facing extreme hardship or crisis. This generous donation will make a real difference to people at a time of crisis.
The Catenians are a network of Catholic men who meet regularly to enjoy each other’s company and to help and support each other throughout the world. Founded in Manchester, Catenians can now be found in many countries and today are active throughout the world. Local Circles meet monthly and arrange activities both for their members and their families: meals together , barbecues, picnics, visits to the theatre and sporting events. Circles in the U.K. raise funds for local charities and projects contributing to wider society at home and abroad. You can find out more about the Catenian network here https://thecatenians.com/
