All are welcome to this free event hosted by Caritas Plymouth to bring people together to reflect on Pope Francis’s message for the 6th World Day of the Poor and how we are called to respond.

In this year’s message, Pope Francis says ‘Encountering the poor enables us to put an end to many of our anxieties and empty fears, and to arrive at what truly matters in life, the treasure that no one can steal from us: true and gratuitous love.’  We will be joined by Raymond Friel OBE, Chief Executive of Caritas Social Action Network (CSAN) and an author of influential books on Catholic education, who will explore the message of Pope Francis and what this might mean for our personal and parish mission.

Lunch will be provided and there is an opportunity to attend Mass at 10.00. The event will take place in St Mary’s Church Hall, BH15 2EG. There is ample free parking.

Places are limited so booking is advised. You can book by filling in this form https://forms.office.com/r/Bz1HuDnbjX or email caritas@prcdtr.org.uk
