The Diocese of Plymouth Safeguarding Team is pleased to host a free Understanding Abuse training event, delivered by FearFree.

This training is open to everyone across the Diocese, including lay people, those involved in pastoral ministry or safeguarding, anyone interested in volunteering for our Chaplaincy for Survivors roles, and victim-survivors. Whether you are looking to deepen your understanding or explore ways to support others, you are warmly welcome to attend.

This training day will provide an opportunity for anyone who may be interested in volunteering as part of our forthcoming Chaplaincy for Survivors initiative to express an interest in the role and to meet members of the Diocese Safeguarding Team in person. Attendance at this training will be a prerequisite for anyone wishing to apply or volunteer for the Chaplaincy for Survivors role, as it forms an important part of the foundation knowledge and preparation for the position.
The event is free of charge, and lunch will be provided.

To book your place, you can either: visit Eventbrite and search “Understanding Abuse”, scan the QR code on the poster to register or click the following link:
