Life as a vowed religious
Some men and women are called to live their Christian life in a religious order where they take vows in a very visible way such as monks or nuns. There are innumerable religious orders in the Catholic Church where the members live out their calling in line with a specific way of life.
Some are called to be active – involved in education, health service, social care and other apostolates. Some are called to an enclosed life of prayer in silence and separated from the physical proximity of others.
These make prayer and worship the major part of their daily life – praying for the world an all its people. Many of the great saints of the church devoted their life to Christ through living life as a Religious. If you think God may be calling you to a Religious way of life then here is a link.
