Every year before Easter, at cathedrals around the world, the people of God celebrate the Chrism Mass. During the Chrism Mass, Bishop Nicholas, joined by priests from across the Diocese, will bless the oils that are going to be used in the sacraments in the year ahead.
Everyone is encouraged to participate in the Chrism Mass. With the bishop, priests and lay faithful participating together, the Chrism Mass is a particularly strong symbol of the unity of the people of God. The Chrism Mass is an opportunity to come together and thank God for all that we have received.
The Mass will take place at 12.00 on Wednesday 1 April at Plymouth Cathedral. It will also be live on our youtube channel
