Racial Justice Sunday is a call for all Christians to engage in the righteous struggle for racial justice.

The theme builds on that of the previous year’s Racial Justice Sunday ‘A Time to Act’, which reflected on the importance of everyone recognising themselves, their race, their culture and their history in the life of the Church.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference website have resources for parishes here.

The posters also carry a prayer taken from Pope Francis’ document Fratelli Tutti. The posters are produced in English but, in some cases, where we have been able to, we have added a suitable translation.

Churches together have also produced a resource here which includes a range of materials that will enable churches and congregations to carry out an act of worship or a service focusing on racial justice. It also provides materials to enable people to continue conversations that may develop from the day.
