Human Resources

The Diocese of Plymouth is the Catholic Church for Devon, Dorset and Cornwall. We have occasional need for paid employees to work in our parishes or in our administrative or curial offices. These curial offices are based in a converted farmhouse near Ashburton and support the civil pastoral needs of our Catholic community and specifically our parishes.

Our employees conduct vital roles from supporting our parish priests directly in the parishes across the three counties largely through administrative and secretarial work, or through the provision of domestic work in our parish houses and halls. We have employees as part of our New Evangelisation, catechesis teams who support, serve and animate what takes place at a local level. We also provide professional services for Safeguarding and Pastoral Services, Property and Health and Safety, Human Resources, Communications and Finance. As an employee of the Diocese of Plymouth you will be working towards the Bishop’s mission working in a professional and unique organisation. Our Diocese covers a large diverse geographical area which has coast and countryside, urban settings and stunning scenery. You will be in contact with people with various backgrounds and from around the world.
