Faith in Health Conference: ‘Beginnings and endings – caring for the whole person’

A ‘Faith in Health' Conference, with the theme ‘Beginnings and endings - caring for the whole person' is being held from 24 to 26 June 2010 at Liverpool Hope University. The event is open to all health and social care professionals, of all faiths or none. This is the second of the ‘Faith in Health' National Conferences organised by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of England and Wales, and it is supported by the Conference of Religious and the Catholic Medical Association.

The conference will bring together health and social care professionals to explore issues of transition and change for the care giver and the care receiver, with particular reference to the quality of care and meeting spiritual needs. Delegates will have the opportunity to explore the basis of their vocation to work in health or social care, and to be renewed and affirmed in it. There will be plenary and parallel sessions and a conference dinner. As well as five plenary sessions, delegates are able to choose from 14 workshops led by experts in a range of related topics. CPD accreditation is being sought. The full conference, residential fee is £260, and there are other options available.
