Relationship Counselling

Marriage Care South West is a member of the National Marriage Care organisation established in 1946 to support marriage and family life.

The following services are provided across the Plymouth Diocese:

• Confidential professional counselling to support individuals in relationships and help those with marital and other relationship difficulties. Counselling is provided free of charge, but donations are welcome.
• Educational support in relationship issues.
• Marriage Support.

Marriage Preparation

As part of the Relationship Education work, Marriage Preparation courses are provided across the Plymouth Diocese for people intending to marry.

The course is designed to help couples focus not just on their wedding day, but on their future life together. It encourages and enables couples to explore their relationship in a safe and confidential environment looking at Communication, Commitment, Conflict Management, Spirituality, Sexuality and Self-esteem.
