80th Birthday of St Paul's school, Plymouth
St Paul’s School celebrated their 80th birthday in style on All Saints’ day. Bishop Mark celebrated Mass with them in St Paul’s Church with present and past pupils, local head teachers and students from St Boniface College. After a wonderful and lively celebration in church, everyone adjourned for the blessing of the new school garden which has been created by governors, parishioners and others to celebrate this milestone in the life of the school. Each class have their own raised area where they will be planting seeds and there is also a quiet area and a sensory garden. Bishop Mark planted a cherry tree to commemorate this special day. The morning concluded with a sumptuous 1937 style lunch served by dinner ladies in black dresses. Why aprons and mop caps. Congratulations, St Paul’s, we look forward to the 100th.
